Colombian Edward Nino Hernandez became the official titleholder of the World's shortest living man by the Guinness World Records.

The new World's shortest man, Edward Nino Hernandez is 1.5 in (4cm) shorter than the previous titleholder from China, He Pingping, who died on March 13.

The recently recognized Edward Nino Hernandez measures 27in (70cm) and weighs 22lb (10kg).

According to Edward Nino Hernandez's mother, he hasn't grown up since the age of two. Moreover, his mother Noemi Hernandez said that doctors never gave any diagnosis or reason for such short height of Edward Nino Hernandez.

Nino belongs to Bose, a poor district village of Bogota, and feels happy to be unique. However, it bothers Edward Nino Hernandez when people pick and touch him.

Just like other men, Edward Nino Hernandez has big dreams and an 18-year-old girlfriend Fanny, who is less than 5ft tall.

Currently, Edward Nino Hernandez is suffering from cataracts and blurred vision, and needs surgery.

The Guinness World Records believe that the title is associated to Edward Nino Hernandez for a short period of time, as Khagendra Thapa Magar from Nepal, the world's shortest teenager, measuring about 22in (56cm), will turn 18 on October 14.
